For quite some time, I have had my eye on this little gem. The problem? $34.99 plus $7 shipping. I just couldn't do it. Not to be averted from my bathroom make over plans, I found some very similar fabric at the FM store. I bought way to much of it, so I don't have a price comparison exactly, but it was $7.99 a yard, and I think I used not quite two yards. So about $15.98 for the whole she-bang... not too shabby.
As a real bonus, I learned how to make a button hole with my sewing machine for this little project. All sewing machines are different, so I won't tell you how to do that part, but if you have ever struggled to cut the button hole once made, I have the perfect solution for you. Use a straight pin and place it right underneath the top of the button hole. Then use a seam ripper to gently make the cut, the pin stops you before you cut through the stitching. I wish I had a picture to show you, its so easy and works perfectly. My momma of course taught me that trick too.
So pretty!

Another Recipe-less Recipie
I'm not sure where I got the first version of this recipe, but I like the way this one turned out today. I started out with about a cup or so, probably more, of tri colored vegetable orzo that I discovered in the bulk food section at the grocery store. It looked fun, plus buying from that section in the store makes me feel like a hipster. Ha ha.
Back to the salad, I chilled the pasta, and added corn, fresh from the cob, red onion, green pepper, green onion, and cucumber. Use whatever amounts you like and add some salt and pepper. For the dressing I used a packet of Good Seasoning Zesty Italian dressing mix and followed the directions with oil and vinegar.
My phone/best camera option that I currently have, is working again. That being said, I still suck at taking pictures. I should work on that.
I promise it is yummy, and you should make some.
Another thing that makes me feel like a hipster... this sweet feather extension in my hair.
Oh, and that's my new owl shower curtain in the back. I will post more on that later.

Blog Slacking and some news...
I'm sorry I have been a terrible blogger lately. I have some awesome pictures of stuff on my new phone that I want to tell you all about... unfortunately said phone was accidentally dropped in a cup of water yesterday. Major bummer. It is mostly working but I'm not getting it to let me get the pictures from my phone to my lap top. Alas.
I did accomplish something wonderful today. It has been on a to do list of mine for about 3 months. I now have some of my stuff for sale at one of my favorite places in the whole world: Good Girl Art. I only have one apron, a headband, and two pairs of earrings there now, but I have plans of getting much more in. If you are downtown on Walnut street... You better stop by and look at my goods. The apron I have for sale is the one in this picture!
